The Emerald Isle of the Mediterranean

The island of Sardinia – often called the Caribbean of the Mediterranean or the "Emerald Coast" – for its incredibly clear sea in myriad shades of blue and green, which makes it so admired and sought after. The crystal-clear beaches attract visitors to swimming and sailing.

Sardinia (Italian: Sardegna, Sardinian: Sardigna, Sardinna or Sardinnia) is an autonomous region and island in south-western Italy, covering 24,090 km² in the Mediterranean Sea. Sardinia itself is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea (after Sicily), lying between the Apennine Peninsula, Spain, Corsica and Tunisia. It is most often accessed by boat from Italy or Corsica via the Strait of Bonifacio.

Sardinia offers magnificent natural scenery, such as the rocky Aggius area with its interesting hundred-meter-high rounded monoliths. On the northern coast at Capo Testa, a belt of 60-90m high rounded boulder piles rises directly out of the sea, or the spectacular red rock walls rising directly out of the water at Arbatax.

Activities

Motor boating along the south coast

An adrenaline-fueled ride awaits you on fast Zodiacs smashing the waves under the bow. Don't miss the breathtaking scenery of jagged cliffs, long spits jutting out into the turquoise sea and the remains of fortifications from the medieval Spanish rule, especially the watchtowers. However, the ancient buildings are also worth noting. Everyone will enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the bays accessible only from the sea or visiting the beaches with beautiful light yellowish sand.

A cycling trip along the coast

Sardinia's south coast provides cyclists with a truly unforgettable experience – flat but varied terrain, single track over hidden coves and ubiquitous views of this exotic Mediterranean region.

Sightseeing in Cagliari

Discover the secrets of Cagliari, a city that has been admired for its color and beauty for centuries. A modern city with well-preserved Punic-Roman buildings with a strong influence of Spanish architecture, it has earned the nickname of the Sun City. Whether you visit the Marina, a harbor district lined with palm trees and shops selling postcards and souvenirs, sheltered from the sun by an arcade, or the Castello, a palatial quarter on a hill above the harbor. The Mediterranean atmosphere and architecture will absorb you.

Nautical yachting

Lessons or just a relaxing trip on luxury sailing yachts Jenneau, Beneteau or Bavaria 12-15m long. An experienced skipper will introduce you to the operation of the yacht, and you will then try steering the helm and pulling the sails yourself. The route goes along the south coast. During the trip there are stops in deserted bays for snorkeling or just plain swimming.

Company tour – sailing on a sailboat along the Sardinian coast

Trip on a large sailing boat

In contrast to the "Nautical Yachting" program, the participants of this program are embarked on a double-masted sailboat with a length of 26m and a total sailing area of 220m2. On this boat, do not interfere with the steering – it is just a peaceful trip with beautiful panoramas, swimming and above all – no roaring engines!

Emerald Isle Hunters (motorbikes + offroad)

A full day action program including an "orienteering race" on smaller zodiacs (each crew gets their own logbook), hunting for artifacts underwater in the form of a breath dive, figuring out other progression points. The end of the race will take place at the beach restaurants Tuerredda beach (Hotel Forte Village) or Cala Sinzias Beach (Hotel Pullman Timi Ama). After a hearty Sardinian lunch and a victory drink, you'll head to the cliff above the beach, where 4x4 Land Rover vehicles are waiting to take you along the "camel" trails back to civilization and your hotel.

Rock climbing over the water

From the point of view of sport climbing, Sardinia is an absolute European unique. Sardinia offers shorter, sometimes less steep walls in close proximity to the sea surf. This gives your climbing discipline a different dimension – just you, the specifically rough rock, the hot Mediterranean air and the splashing sea.

Golf

Fans of the white ball and short-cut grass will also find Sardinia to their liking – the Mediterranean weather, perfectly manicured greens and, above all, the number of courses will appeal to all players.
