Karlova Koruna Castle: Two years, two themes, one perfect experience

In the run-up to Christmas, the Karlova Koruna castle riding hall in Chlumec nad Cidlinou became the venue for two thematically different but equally exceptional parties. With an emphasis on detail, atmosphere and visual effects, we prepared festive events that were more than just the end of the year – they became an unforgettable experience.

Karlova Koruna Castle: A backdrop with historical elegance

Both evenings took place in the riding hall of Karlova Koruna Castle, which is part of the impressive Baroque castle in Chlumec nad Cidlinou. The castle was built in the 18th century by Count František Ferdinand Kinský, and its royal crown-shaped floor plan was designed by the famous architect Giovanni Santini-Aichel.

The riding hall, formerly used for ceremonial rides by the nobility, now offers a dignified and stylish setting for exceptional social events. The combination of historical atmosphere and modern design gave the event a unique character that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

The dazzling elegance of the Glitter Party

The castle riding hall was transformed into a glamorous hall full of lighting effects, mirrors, and sparkling decorations. Guests were welcomed at the entrance by hostesses in stylish costumes and a themed photo corner with shiny props.

The evening was tuned to a modern style with a dose of fun and visual glitz. The following were included:

  • Glitter face painting and airbrush tattoos
  • Juggling and artistic workshops
  • Stylish decorations and photo corners
  • 360° video platform and the possibility of instant sharing of experiences
  • Dance performance by the Evil Dancers group

Music, lights, and glitter combined the festive atmosphere with a modern, relaxed concept.

Venice Carnival: aristocratic nobility and mysterious elegance

We conceived the evening in the spirit of the Venetian Carnival – a celebration with a centuries-old tradition that originated in Venice, Italy, and is famous for its beautiful masks, lavish costumes and mysterious atmosphere. Originally, it served as a way for people to enjoy entertainment regardless of social differences, which was made possible by covering their faces with masks. Today, the carnival is a symbol of elegance, history and sensual spectacle, where streets and palaces come alive with music, dance and colourful parades.

We brought this atmosphere to our premises. Guests found themselves in a world where history, elegance and the relaxed joy of being together intertwine.

The evening's programme included:

  • Performances by living statues, stilt walkers and swordsmen
  • A parade of Baroque costumes
  • Workshops on decorating masks, fans and headdresses
  • The announcement of the king and queen of the carnival

The entire space was decorated with themed decorations inspired by Venice – from lanterns to candlesticks and flower arrangements. The result was an unforgettable atmosphere in the backdrop of an aristocratic past.

Exceptional scenography in both years

Both evenings had one thing in common – extraordinary attention to detail. Custom-made floral arrangements, stylised decorations, sophisticated lighting effects both inside the riding hall and in the adjacent gardens, and precise production – all this created a comprehensive visual experience. Each year with a different story, but with the same quality and aesthetic precision.

Gastronomy as an experience

The catering during the evening matched the uniqueness of the venue and the entire event. Guests could choose from a rich buffet menu full of flavor contrasts and creative combinations that combined a modern approach with classic elegance. There was a wide selection of finger food specialties, roasted meats, hot buffet dishes, a salad bar, and themed accompaniments.

The evening also featured a stylish cheese station with fondue, a selection of French-style desserts, and a wide range of wines, beers, soft drinks, and specialty coffees.

The entire catering was designed to match the theme of the evening and meet the expectations of guests accustomed to a high level of service and culinary experiences.

Music, dancing, and entertainment in grand style

The band Electrophonix provided the energy for the evening, getting the whole hall moving with their stylish renditions of well-known hits and lively show. They complemented the theme's atmosphere in style and created the ideal musical backdrop for dancing, networking, and moments of relaxation.

The dynamics of the evening were further enhanced by a dance performance by the Evil Dancers, which impressed with both its choreography and precise execution. There was also a dance school, which offered guests the opportunity to try out the basics of modern dance style under the guidance of professionals – with a smile and a sense of humor.

For those who preferred the elegance of gaming excitement, a mobile casino with three gaming tables was set up, offering the experience of roulette, blackjack, and poker in a safe and entertaining form. Everyone could find entertainment to suit their taste – whether on the dance floor, over a drink, or betting on luck.

Two evenings, two themes – one signature of quality

The Christmas parties at Karlova Koruna Castle showed that corporate events can be not only a pleasant way to end the year, but also a powerful aesthetic and cultural experience. Whether guests danced among the glitter or walked around the castle riding hall wearing masks, they always left with a feeling of uniqueness and attention to every detail.

If you are looking for an event that your team will remember, one that reflects your brand values while being entertaining, inspiring and bringing people together, we would be delighted to be of service.
